Sienna Miller

So my next painting is one I found of Sienna Miller. Im not sure who the photographer is but I loved the shadows and thought that it would be a good challenge with the toning. I seem to be falling in love with black and white photographs at the moment but will deff do colour next. Might try a different media too and see what different effects I get.  This one is A3 painted in Gouache.

Paolo Roversi

So I have decided to move on to painting next. I figured sketching does look good and is my easiest media to use but I wanted to stretch myself and try doing something more difficult. So the photograph I chose to use is by Paolo Roversi. An amazing photographer. Infact I chose him because I had studied his work for an essay I did at LCF. His work very much focuses on light - which he uses to create natural beauty. The photograph is of the model Natalia Vodianova. This is actually one of my favourite fashion portraits! I painted using Gouache and it is A3. I will try to upload some more professional pictures later on.

If I'm being completely honest, Giorgio Armani doesn't really do much for me but this picture stood out. I adore the neckline and silhouette of the Armani jacket so I thought simple but effective. Fashion doesn't need amazing prints or textures to stand out and I think this proves it. Let me know what you guys think of this sketch either on here or on my facebook, I would love some feedback.
